Basketball Recap: Judah Christian Academy Victorious

On Friday, the Judah Christian Academy Lions were able to grind out a solid victory over the Heritage Christian Eagles, taking the game 54-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Chase Haggins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Haggins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniah Vroege, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Frye, who posted ten points. JJ Mikeal was another key player, putting up eight points.

Judah Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Heritage Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Judah Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-38 loss against Walnut Grove Christian on the 10th. As for Heritage Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 16th.
