It was a good run, but the La Plata Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a rough 60-40 defeat at the hands of Green City. La Plata lost against Green City in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-33 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaryn Hatcher, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hatcher has scored at least 25% of Green City's points. Macy Jeffries was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 assists.
La Plata's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Green City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
La Plata will head out on the road to face off against Bevier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bevier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 340th, while La Plata is ranked 92nd). As for Green City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
