Softball Recap: Stevenson Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

Stevenson came tearing into Monday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Canton Cobras a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 19 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Stevenson's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Canton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Stevenson will venture away from home to take on Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canton, they will take on Brighton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
