Meanwhile, Pacific Ridge hadn't done well against Orange Glen recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Firebirds have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Pacific Ridge is undefeated when Chivers posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jed McDonald, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Pacific Ridge: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Lafleur, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
