It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Wise Pumas had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Bowie at home to the tune of 56-0. The win was familiar territory for Wise who now have nine in a row.
Peyton Nelson was a one-man wrecking crew for Wise as he rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. DeCarlos Young was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Wise has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for Bowie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Wise will square off against Eleanor Roosevelt at TBD on Friday. Eleanor Roosevelt will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. Bowie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
