There's no place like home for the Sumter County Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 62-58 win over Worth County on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Worth County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being James Raymond, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Raymond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was ASHTON WILLIAMS, who scored 17 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Sumter County's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Worth County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Sumter County will head out on the road to challenge Jeff Davis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jeff Davis is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Worth County, they will be playing at home against Berrien at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berrien has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
