The Beach Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Savannah Christian 55-6. Beach was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savannah Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenry Wall, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 73 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zo Smalls, who rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Beach's loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Savannah Christian, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beach will stay at home for another week and welcome Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Savannah Christian will take on Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Groves comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
