Foster is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Fulshear is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Falcons will welcome the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fulshear's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Foster hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Falcons didn't even let Alief Hastings on the board on Friday, marking the Falcons' second-straight 17-0 shutout.
Julia Kaspar looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Foster let Sienna Shotts and Emerson Lechler run wild. Shotts went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Lechler fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave Shotts a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jessica Reyes, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1.
Foster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fulshear made easy work of Alief Elsik on Friday and carried off a 17-1 victory.
Shelbi Ryder made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ryder was also big at the plate, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Ava Galaviz was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Riley Shipp was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Fulshear has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Foster, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Foster hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. However, it's not like Fulshear struggles in that department as they've averaged .403. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Foster skirted past Fulshear 13-12 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
