They rang in the new year with a 51-41 victory over Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool. That's another feather in the cap for Bishop Noland Episcopal Day, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jordan Buckhalter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Charlie Kuehn was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabe Wild, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Wild has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Moore, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9.

Shreveport HomeSchool Sports will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Bishop Noland Episcopal Day is ranked 77th). As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Training Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Training Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool likes a good challenge.
