Paradise Honors didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Drew Dewett led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Peoria ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They slipped by St. Mary's 36-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
A big part of Peoria's win came down to the chemistry between Dominic Kramer and his top target Dontay Tyson Jr. Kramer threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns while Tyson Jr picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Tyson Jr posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
Peoria was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Peoria's defensive line made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
The victory got Peoria back to even at 3-3. As for Paradise Honors, their record now sits at 4-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Paradise Honors has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 229.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Peoria struggles in that department as they've been averaging 185.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
