With a playoff game on the line, the North Stars rose to the challenge  on Friday. They walked away with a  43-34  victory over Corcoran. Winning may never get old, but North sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 North can attribute much of their success to  Dillon Kyle, who rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns.  Mika Lencioni was in the mix  too, providing North with two touchdowns.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North's defensive line and their five sacks.  Jimmy Amador was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 sacks himself.
 Corcoran's loss  came despite strong showings from  Eian Hernandez and  Tony Alvarez.  Hernandez picked up 162 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while  Alvarez threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Hernandez was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards.
 North is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Corcoran, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
 North will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Union at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. One thing working in Bishop Union's favor is that they have now posted big  point totals  in their last four matches. Corcoran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
