The Lebanon Tigers posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Covington out 54-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lebanon.
It was another big night for Kaden Lark, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Lark is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Ferrell, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Covington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Coye Ferguson. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferguson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolten Haymaker, who scored 11 points.
Lebanon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Covington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will take on Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Covington's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Vermillion at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
