Conestoga Valley waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Twin Valley Raiders.
Evan Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Adam McDowell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Garrett Daniels was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
Conestoga Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Twin Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.
