Desert Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Desert Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Desert Ridge faced off against Gila Ridge for the first time this season, and Desert Ridge walked away the winners. They had just enough and edged Gila Ridge out 2-1.
Desert Ridge was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Spencer Brown and
Talen Hoff, who scored.
Meanwhile, Desert Vista faced Mesa in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Desert Vista narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Mesa 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Desert Vista.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ethan DeRubeis and
Mason Dewall, who scored.
The win got Desert Ridge back to even at 7-7-1. As for Desert Vista, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-5.
Desert Ridge came up short against Desert Vista in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Desert Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
