Even though the Wisner-Pilger Gators have not done well against the Wayne Blue Devils recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wisner-Pilger came out on top against Wayne by a score of 41-31. This was payback for Wisner-Pilger, who suffered a 36-35 loss the last time these two teams met.
Wisner-Pilger's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Wisner-Pilger and Stanton will face off on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stanton and Wisner-Pilger are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Wayne won't have much time to rest: their next game is against O'Neill at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully O'Neill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
