Woodland Park won against Harrison on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Woodland Park beat Harrison by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. Woodland Park might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Cody Becker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Woodland Park got a massive performance out of Link Bryden, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Bryden has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Marquez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Woodland Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Woodland Park and bumps their season record up to 5-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 10.5 hits in those games compared to only 5.5 in the others. As for Harrison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Woodland Park is taking a road trip to take on Palmer at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against George Washington at 3:30 p.m. Harrison's pitchers better be ready for this one: George Washington has averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
