The Somerset Academy Panthers will head out to challenge the Goleman Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Somerset Academy beat Gulliver Prep 8-5. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Somerset Academy got a great performance from Liam DeCicco as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. DeCicco has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jon Mora was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Matthew Fari?as also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Somerset Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Goleman came into Monday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Downtown Doral with a sharp 9-0 victory on Monday.
Khari Hunter tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Ethan Cabrera was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Daikel Nodal, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
The win got Somerset Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Goleman, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-9.
Somerset Academy took their win against Goleman in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Somerset Academy repeat their success, or does Goleman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
