The Noblesville Millers will face off against the Westfield Shamrocks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Noblesville has three straight victories, Westfield has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Noblesville gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Hamilton Heights as they made off with a 14-4 win. The contest marked the Millers' most dominant victory of the season.

Noblesville got a great performance from Adam Gaskill as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Gaskill has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aiden Ramsey was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aiden Reynolds, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Noblesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Westfield faced Center Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Shamrocks fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-5.
Westfield also got a good showing from Aiden Grabowski, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Grabowski gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since April 3rd.
At the plate, Westfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Hoffman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Noblesville, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Noblesville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Westfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Noblesville was able to grind out a solid victory over Westfield in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Do the Millers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Shamrocks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
