The Bullitt Central Cougars on the road again on Monday and play against the Adair County Indians at 5:00 p.m. on January 15th. Bullitt Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Adair County is ranked 24th).
Last Monday, Bullitt Central came up short against Anderson County and fell 66-53.
Meanwhile, Adair County can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against McCreary Central as Adair County made off with a 85-62 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Adair County has posted since December 6, 2023.
Isaiah Cochran was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Connor Loy was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 assists.
Bullitt Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Adair County, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Bullitt Central came up short against Adair County when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 78-67. Can Bullitt Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
