Having just played yesterday, the Dakota Indians will get right back to it and host the Milledgeville Missiles at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Dakota took a serious blow against Aquin Catholic, falling 57-18. Dakota was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.
Dakota's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bella Keyes, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Hailey Kerchner who scored four points.
Meanwhile, Milledgeville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 16th straight loss. They were outmatched by Amboy at home and fell 58-13.
Dakota has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Milledgeville, their defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-20.
Everything went Dakota's way against Milledgeville when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as Dakota made off with a 39-15 win. Will Dakota repeat their success, or does Milledgeville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
