The Hale Eagles lost against the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hale took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Au Gres-Sims. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hale in their matchups with Au Gres-Sims: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Au Gres-Sims to victory were Sophie Fox and Analeis Ming. Fox scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Ming scored 22 points along with two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ming has scored at least a third of Au Gres-Sims' points. Another player making a difference was Lillie Maser, who scored six points along with three steals.
Hale's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Au Gres-Sims, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hale's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Posen at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Au Gres-Sims will take on Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Au Gres-Sims is facing Atlanta at the right time seeing as Atlanta is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
