North Lincoln has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 5th. They came up short against the East Lincoln Mustangs on Friday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, North Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while East Lincoln are ranked 39th).

North Lincoln was without their leading scorer, Jamie Curry, in Friday's game. With Curry sidelined, Ruby Buckner got her first action of the season.

North Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for East Lincoln, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1-1.
