Flathead's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Griffin, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lyric Ersland, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Flathead were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Capital's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Flathead, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Capital is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Sentinel at 7:15 p.m. on January 9th. Sentinel will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Flathead will take on Big Sky at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
