It was a good run, but the Christian Learning Center Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 62-35 loss at the hands of El Dorado Christian. Christian Learning Center was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as El Dorado Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Christian Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: Easton Rhodes scored 16 points. Rhodes scored a full 45.7% of Christian Learning Center's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brad Allen, who scored 8 points.
Christian Learning Center's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for El Dorado Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Learning Center will face off against Clinton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Clinton Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. El Dorado Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Show-Me Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th.
