On Thursday, Argonaut earned a 63-53 victory over Mt. Shasta. The win was all the more spectacular given Argonaut's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while Mt. Shasta is ranked 278th).
Argonaut got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mitchell Mcmahan out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mcmahan has scored at least 25% of Argonaut's points. Ryan Duran was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Argonaut has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Mt. Shasta, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
