The Destin Sharks were the 59-54 winner over the Calvary Christian Academy Patriots when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Destin fell to the Patriots 56-51.
Destin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Traiton Mauffray, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Imaran Harris was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Destin's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Destin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully South Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Tuesday. Calvary Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
