The Huss Huskies's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-23 victory over Ashbrook at home. With Huss ahead 42-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Huss was led to victory by Savanni Harris and Brooklyn Swann. Harris dropped a triple-double on ten points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists, while Swann scored 27 points along with three steals and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Swann has scored at least a third of Huss' points. Another player making a difference was Myla Hoover, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Huss' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ashbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Huss will face off against North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashbrook, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Point at 6:15 p.m. South Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Ashbrook likes a good challenge.
