Gideon kicked off their season on the road  on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost  15-0 to the Holcomb Hornets. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gideon will challenge Senath-Hornersville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.2  runs per game this season. As for Holcomb, they will head out to  face off against Clarkton  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
