The Drummond Trojans stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Lincoln with a sharp 46-24 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Drummond who now have five in a row.
Leading Drummond to victory were Remington Cline and Kimber Parsons. Cline scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Parsons almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Cline hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games.
Despite the defeat, Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: Jordyn Zarske scored six points along with four steals. Zarske is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lincoln struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Drummond pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.
Drummond pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Drummond and Valley Christian will face off at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Drummond's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Valley Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lincoln, they and Victor will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Victor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
