Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterford). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 82-25 blowout they got against the Le Grand Bulldogs. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-point performance the matchup before.

Waterford had a senior duo take command as Christian Gayle posted 22 points and Elijah Thornberry scored 21 points. The dominant performance gave Gayle a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Leo Aguilar, who put up 13 points.

Waterford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Le Grand, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.
