Hutcherson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Carson, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chancellor had a senior duo take command as Kendall Scott scored 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Maya Johnson scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals. Scott has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Natalie Lanning was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Culpeper County's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Chancellor, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Culpeper County will head out on the road to take on James Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Virginia (Culpeper County is ranked 183rd, while James Monroe is ranked 181st). Chancellor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
