The UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They strolled past Mobile Christian with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as UMS-Wright Prep also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Leopards players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hakeem Winston, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Winston continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bowen Baggett was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
UMS-Wright Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Mobile Christian, they have yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. UMS-Wright Prep will take on Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Hill Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than UMS-Wright Prep in Alabama (Cottage Hill Christian Academy is ranked 57th, while UMS-Wright Prep is ranked 229th). As for Mobile Christian, they will be playing at home against Chickasaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
