The Franklinton Rams had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 55-17 victory over Bunn. Considering Franklinton has won six games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Franklinton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Asia Burton out in front who scored 17 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Burton has scored at least 25% of Franklinton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Taborn, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Bunn still got an impressive performance from Alana Sanders, who scored eight points. Sanders scored a full 47.1% of Bunn's points, the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Franklinton pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bunn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Franklinton will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Northern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Northern Nash will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Franklinton is ranked 58th). As for Bunn, they will be playing at home against Nash Central at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
