Volleyball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Brookland

Brookland won the last time they faced Batesville, and Macie Murray did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bearcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pioneers 2-1 for which the team can thank Murray, who had 16 assists and six digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (61-51) Brookland actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 28-26, 8-25, 15-10.

The victory made it two in a row for Brookland and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Batesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Brookland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Searcy on the 6th. As for Batesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Mountain Home on the 9th.
