Southeast Guilford escaped with a win against College Prep & Leadership Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southeast Guilford.
College Prep & Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryce Mckenzie, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals. Robert Knotts was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists.
Southeast Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Guilford will take on Western Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Guilford comes in still looking for their first win of the season. College Prep & Leadership Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Millennium at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. Millennium is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
