The Clinton Cardinals made easy work of the New Covenant Academy Warriors on Thursday and carried off a 5-1 win. Clinton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by three goals or more this season.

Clinton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 75 goals over those 16 matchups. As for New Covenant Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Clinton will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Logan-Rogersville at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Clinton have won seven straight at home, while Logan-Rogersville won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. New Covenant Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
