The McCamey Badgers will head out on the road to face off against the Eldorado Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McCamey is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
McCamey's 9-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Sterling City 54-20 on Friday.
Meanwhile, Eldorado sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 win over Water Valley on Friday.
The critical scores for Eldorado came from Omar Barajas and Tony Kmiec.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Eldorado's win pushed their record up to 4-2, while McCamey's loss dropped theirs down to 2-4.
Everything went McCamey's way against Eldorado in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as McCamey made off with a 35-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McCamey since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
