Northland Pines is 0-10 against Mosinee since May of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Eagles will challenge the Indians at 2:00 p.m. Northland Pines' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Mosinee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Northland Pines and Tomahawk had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles skirted past the Hatchets 2-1.

Jonathan Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Northland Pines is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Mosinee made easy work of Lakeland on Thursday and carried off a 14-1 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.
Mosinee also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Ethan Oatman gave up a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Mosinee got a massive performance out of Carter Fandrey, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Treve Stoffel, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mosinee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Mosinee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Northland Pines, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Northland Pines came up short against Mosinee in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 5-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
