Lemon Bay proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Forest Hill Falcons 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Manta Rays sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Wilson Shaw made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lemon Bay is 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Shaw was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Kyle Lackey was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Lemon Bay now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Forest Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
