Banning is 0-5 against Yucca Valley since September of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Broncos are taking a road trip to square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Banning is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Two weeks ago, Banning didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Rialto, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win.

Banning's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JACOB ANZALDUA led the charge by throwing for 408 yards and five touchdowns. With that strong performance, ANZALDUA is now averaging an impressive 317.2 passing yards per game. JADONNIE NICHOLS was in the mix as well, providing Banning with two scores.
Banning's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Geonie Seeney six times. Leading the way was GEOVONTAE JOHNSON with two sacks. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. NATHAN MANESS was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 17 total tackles.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Yucca Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Desert Hot Springs 28-7 on Friday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Yucca Valley's win came from a few key players Banning will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aiden Shannon, who threw for 162 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards and one touchdown. Clyde King was another key player, rushing for 132 yards and one score.
Yucca Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Desert Hot Springs to a completion percentage of just 37.5%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: King, Seth Mauk, Bryan Minsky, and Gage Lawler, who each logged one passes deflected. Yucca Valley has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.
The win got Yucca Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Banning, their record is now 4-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Banning has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 321.4 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Yucca Valley, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 156.5 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Banning was taken down by Yucca Valley 56-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
