Natchitoches Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Evangel Christian Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. Natchitoches Central put the hurt on Evangel Christian Academy with a sharp 13-3 win on Tuesday. Considering the Chiefs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sydney Terrell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Terrell was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with six RBI and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last ten contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Massia, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Natchitoches Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Natchitoches Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
