Chateaugay had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 win over the St. Lawrence Central Larries. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-45 back in January.

Several Larries players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayden Beach, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Beach has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 22 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Evans, who posted four points and five boards.

Chateaugay's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Lawrence Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-4.

Coming up, Chateaugay will face off against Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Lawrence Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Regis Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
