Soroco scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Creede Miners. The loss leaves the Rams without a win on the season.

It was another big night for Jaxson Fazio, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 20 rebounds for Creede. Those 20 rebounds gave Fazio a new career-high. Charles Heinrich was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Soroco's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Creede, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Soroco will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rangely at 4:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025. After both having extra time off, Creede and Sargent will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
