The Falcon Falcons entered their tilt with the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Falcon came out on top against Fountain-Fort Carson by a score of 66-55 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Eric Graham, who shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Bertholf, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Fountain-Fort Carson still got an impressive performance from Tyshawn Miller, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Termaine Shaw, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Falcon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Falcon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sand Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Fountain-Fort Carson will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Doherty at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Doherty knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Fountain-Fort Carson likes a good challenge.
