Montgomery strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Millville Quakers as they made off with a 19-3 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Jenna Houseknect made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Montgomery got a massive performance out of Ava Hartman, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hartman has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Montgomery pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Millville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
