Softball Recap: Southeast Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Southeast came out on top against LaBrae on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Pirates walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Vikings on Monday, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Liv Bragg looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Morgan Muncy was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Ava Stephens was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Southeast is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for LaBrae, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-2.
