Make it nine blowout wins for the Wright City Lumberjax this season. They put the hurt on Valliant with a sharp 64-43 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Wright City has posted since January 4th.
Wright City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayner Beene led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Green, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Wright City and bumps their season record up to 18-3. As for Valliant, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will take on Dewar at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dewar is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Valliant, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Haworth at 7:30 p.m. Haworth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Valliant is ranked 74th).
