Leading Bethel to victory were H. Howard and D. Stricklen. Howard scored 23 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds, while Stricklen dropped a double-double on 25 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Howard has scored at least 25% of Bethel's points. Another player making a difference was A. Garcia, who scored 8 points.
Bethel's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hercules, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Bethel will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Richmond at 7:00 p.m. Richmond comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Hercules, they will head out on the road to face off against Sonoma Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sonoma Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hercules in California (Sonoma Valley is ranked 356th, while Hercules is ranked 878th).
