Northeast Dubois has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Barr-Reeve Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Northeast Dubois was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to the Warriors.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Grant Goller, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adam Dooley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Barr-Reeve unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Jasper 49-45.
Like Barr-Reeve, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Donnie Miller led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Wagler, who scored 13 points.
Northeast Dubois' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Barr-Reeve, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Northeast Dubois have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 20.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Barr-Reeve struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
