Two dominant backs in Thorne Watson and Rashad Robinson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Grant Pacers will face off against the Lincoln Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grant has given up an average of 30.8 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Last Friday, Grant was beaten by De La Salle 47-20.
Grant's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tavio Rios, who threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns, and Dlo Knight, who picked up 135 receiving yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Grant's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Julian Bruno was especially locked on to De La Salle's QB and sacked him twice. Bruno is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made nine or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Lincoln's game last Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Frontier with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Titans are ranked 70th).
Grant better keep an eye on Junior Curtis. He was instrumental in Lincoln's win, rushing for 127 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Lincoln was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 198 rushing yards in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Lincoln didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cammeron Purnell, Warren Florence, and Clarence Tucker picked up one apiece.
Lincoln's record now sits at 4-1. As for Grant, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Grant was dealt a bruising 49-19 defeat at the hands of Lincoln in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Curtis, who rushed for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. Now that the Pacers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
